With Orbita, advanced watch winding technology provides long term “health care” for fine automatic watches User Programmable A sophisticated microprocessor controls watch winding cycles of 500, 650, 800 or 950 turns per day (TPD), with clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation or with automatic reversing when desired. Most ORBITA winders operate on 6 VDC battery power (4 standard alkaline “C” cells) or with a supplied plug-in AC/DC adapter. Many units also have a battery alert which signals that it is time to change batteries. Ball Bearing Construction. Each and every ORBITA winder is fitted with two ball bearings that support the rotating cup. Precision ground ball bearings provide reliable, maintenance-free operation with operating life measured in decades. Safe and Secure Mounting ORBITA Standard is an extremely safe cup mount—a soft, highly elastic latex cushion (washable) accommodates your watch and positions it in a specially shaped cup. The shape of the cup also accommodates oversize or very small watchstraps. Some of our winders are also designed to accept dual mounts to accommodate two watches. Two watches are placed on plastic-covered stainless steel springs and are wound simultaneously. Please note: Both watches should be mounted at the same time. Drive System All ORBITA winders, except the budget priced SPARTA series, employ space-age, high quality ironless core motors. These extremely low current motors maximize battery life and provide years and years of dependable service. The robust ball-bearing equipped gearbox utilizes a three stage, factory lubricated technopolymer gear system that is quiet and durable.
